It was announced today at today’s UK – Rwanda Business Forum that is taking place in Kigali from  Monday, 29 January 202409:00 to Wednesday, 31 January 2024.

The first-ever UK-Rwanda Business Forum under the theme: “Succeeding in Rwanda: Unlocking Growth & Opportunities”, brings together UK and Rwanda business leaders, investors and senior government officials to discuss business opportunities available and the business climate in Rwanda.

This decision underscores Bboxx’s commitment to Africa to serve, innovate, and grow in the “heart of the continent”, with Bboxx planning to train nearly 1000 more Rwandans in the next 5 years and invest USD$100 million in the country.

“This move to Kigali not only brings us closer to the communities we serve but also cements our commitment to be an Africa-first, data-driven super platform, transforming lives and unlocking potential at an unprecedented scale.” said Mansoor Hamayun, CEO and Co-Founder of Bboxx.

He also added that what makes him excited about Rwanda is the sense of progress, that Rwanda is now becoming a place where the connectivity, infrastructure and skills exist and they  see themselves having their operational headquarters in the country  to be able to accelerate their  vision for wider Africa.

The relocation of Bboxx’s headquarters to Kigali is not merely a relocation but a welcomed strategic move aligning with Rwanda’s overarching goal to become an attractive destination for intelligent and sustainable investments. Such decisions communicate to the global community that Rwanda is not only open for business but also poised for a promising future. The collective efforts and the visionary

leadership in Rwanda emphasize flexibility and openness to foreign investment, positioning the country as a magnet for dynamic and forward-looking ventures.

Bboxx’s focus is on clean energy, clean cooking, smartphones, and e-mobility access.
