Mr. Nsengiyumva Rutsobe, is a proud Rwandan living in the USA. He is studying for his Master of Public Health (MPH) at Walden University in Minnesota. At the same time, he works as a Residential Manager at Benchmark Human Services.

Despite his busy life, Rutsobe’s love for Rwanda remains strong. He has started several important initiatives to promote Rwanda and protect its image abroad.

One of these initiatives is called “Rwanda My Home Country, Protect the Brand.” The mission of this initiative is to promote Rwanda to the world, including Rwandans and friends of Rwanda. The initiatives also aims to encourage patriotism among Rwandans ,both in country and abroad. It focuses on protecting Rwanda’s dignity by sharing positive stories about the country.

Mr Rutsobe is also part of an initiative called “One Nation Radio.” This radio station was created by a group of Rwandans living abroad. Its main goal is to be the voice of the Rwandan diaspora and to protect Rwanda’s image. One Nation Radio also fights against false information that some people spread about Rwanda.

In an interview with Iwacu Times, He explained that managing these projects is not easy, especially since they don’t bring in money. But because of his deep love for Rwanda, he continues to support his country from afar. He is also ready to contribute to Rwanda’s public health sector whenever needed.

Rutsobe spoke about the challenges he and other Rwandans in the media face, such as lack of partnerships and support. Some people hesitate to get involved because they fear it might be seen as political. He encourages all Rwandans abroad to support good initiatives, help promote Rwanda, and stand up against those who deny the Genocide against the Tutsi.

The Rwandan government understands how important the diaspora is. Rwandans abroad help in many ways, such as investing in the country, promoting its image, and sharing new ideas and skills. There are now 68 Rwandan Community Abroad (RCA) Associations around the world, showing the strength of the Rwandan diaspora.

Rutsobe’s story is a great example of how Rwandans abroad can make a big difference by staying connected to their home country and promoting it globally.
