The Central European Chamber of Commerce is pioneering the New Amber Road initiative to bolster Polish companies’ ventures into Africa and the Far East. This innovative project aims to utilize Poland’s agricultural surplus as a catalyst for international trade.

“We’ve recently inked a deal with a Chinese company overseeing a duty-free zone, expressing keen interest in procuring Polish agricultural and food products,” reveals Łukasz Osiński, president of the Central European Chamber of Commerce. Through the New Amber Road, the Chamber envisions tapping into surplus produce from Polish farms for global distribution.

The New Amber Road not only fosters trade but also nurtures scientific and informational channels, fostering collaboration among dynamically evolving markets in Central Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Backed by the European Union and supported by local governments and financial institutions, this initiative positions Central European entrepreneurs at the forefront of emerging global trade dynamics.

This initiative will revolutionize trade on an unprecedented scale,” remarks Łukasz Osiński. “Imagine connecting countries with a combined population exceeding 1 billion people, excluding potential collaborations with India and China.” Already, countries along the New Amber Road are showing immense interest in this transformative project.

Moreover, the Chamber is committed to promoting innovative, eco-friendly solutions, including hydrogen technology, through the New Amber Road. The European Hydrogen Institute, a creation of the Central European Chamber of Commerce, lends crucial support to this endeavor, advancing decarbonization efforts.

With offices strategically positioned along the North/South axis in Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda, the Central European Chamber of Commerce is poised to facilitate Polish companies’ expansion into untapped markets. Initiatives like the VET4GREEN project, operating in collaboration with organizations from Somalia, Cameroon, Rwanda, Kenya, Sweden, and Poland, exemplify the ethos of the New Amber Road, particularly in the African green energy sector.

In essence, the New Amber Road presents an unparalleled opportunity for Polish companies to thrive in the global marketplace, marking a significant step forward in international trade relations, especially in Africa,” mentioned Patrick Dusabe, CECC Project Manager for Africa.
